Kartchner Caverns – January 2025

In January 2025, our scouts camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park. After we arrived on Saturday, we took a long hike around the park, then prepared dinner and camped out. The next morning, we took a tour of the caverns. During the tour, we learned about the history and biology of the caverns as well as the measures that have been taken to protect them. In order to protect the caverns, we were not allowed to take photos, as doing so would have required the camera flash to be on, and therefore, would have disturbed the wildlife.
