Cabin Loop Backpacking – September 2026

Our scouts hiked a total of 11 miles on September 19th-20th for our Cabin Loop backpacking trip, up on the Mogollon Rim, down the Old Rim Road. On the first day, we hiked 5.5 miles over the course of several hours to reach the campsite, which was near the second of two historic Forest Service cabins we saw. Then we set up camp, cooked dinner, and rested. The next day, we made breakfast, packed everything up, and made the return trip in a much faster time. Great work, Scouts and leaders!
